Dean's Message

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science with Education Degrees are designed to qualify students to work in secondary schools, teachers’ training colleges or any educational institution correspondingly. The degrees are of three years duration, consisting of 6 consecutive semesters. The fundamental aim of education courses are to provide the professional and academic foundation for teachers’ careers, by providing a high quality education that will impact the knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to teach in the secondary schools and teachers training colleges. In the 2021/2022 Academic year the Faculty is expected to revive the MAED in the latter part of 2020/2021 and PGD in Education. You will not regret your decision.

Faculty Objectives

The Faculty of Education has the following objectives.

To equip students with the competences necessary to teach all leves of secondary schools and colleges.
To prepare teachers to have a mastery and competence in all the curricular areas of the education sector.
To equip them with an understanding of education’s knowledge base that is provided by History of Education, Philosophy of Education, Psychology of Education and Sociology of Education among others.
